Regulation Amending the Tax Regulation in Lok Sabha. launched

House adjourned for the day

Lok Sabha’s trial was adjourned Thursday due to continued interference by opposition officials over the Pegasus espionage issue and three farm laws.

After repeated interruptions at the 5pm session of the House of Representatives, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman rose to present the law amending tax laws in 2021.

Lok Sabha Congress Chairman Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said that bills would be passed in the House of Representatives without debate with an average time of seven minutes per bill.

He claimed that it was not right to come up with a supplementary list of stores at the last minute.

RSP member NK Premchandran supported Chowdhary.

Later, the Taxation Laws (Amendment) Bill 2021 was introduced through a vote of slogan shouts from opposition members. The bill aims to amend the Income Tax Act 1961 and the Finance Act 2012.

Rama Devi, who presided, then adjourned the meeting for the day.

A bill for the establishment of a central university in the Union territory of Ladakh had also been submitted beforehand.
