Springut has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of IP litigation, prosecution and advice, including numerous patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret and computer law matters. He represents and pursues patents in the scientific disciplines, including electrical and electronic systems, computer hardware and software, and business systems, drawing on his early experience at Bell Laboratories where he developed computer hardware and software systems. He has also built a reputation as one of the most experienced litigation attorneys in the country in trademark, counterfeit and gray goods cases and represents the world’s leading luxury brands and international fashion houses such as Gucci, Guess? and several Richemont brands.

Springut has been running his own IP boutique, Springut Law, since 2013 and was previously Name Partner at Kalow & Springut from 1996. Outside of his busy practice, he served as a board member and IP advisor for the American Foundation for the Blind, which he continues to represent free of charge on a variety of matters. He has a JD from Seton Hall University, an MS in electrical engineering and computer science from Columbia University, and a BS in electrical engineering from City College of New York.
