The government is aiming to continue to bear the full tax on sales of new cars in order to support the domestic industry, reports investor Daily Indonesia, citing Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita.
- The Ministry of Industry has proposed extending the policy to the Ministry of Finance, Kartasasmita was quoted as saying
- NOTE: The government is currently applying such a tax on new cars up to 1,500cc through August
