Elise Ramer has earned her certification as a Certified Public Relations Counselor.
Ramer is the Senior Director of Public Relations at Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, overseeing public relations for the company’s 40 offices and 1,400 employees in Florida and North Carolina.
Her career in public relations spans nearly 20 years. Her experience spans commercial construction, consumer electronics, food and beverage, household services, luxury brands, and residential and commercial real estate.
Ramer holds a bachelor’s degree in creative writing from Florida State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Webster University. She received her accreditation in public relations in 2019.
Ramer has been a member of the Florida Public Relations Association since 2008. She is a past president of the Central West Coast chapter and has served as the chapter’s Director of Image Awards five consecutive times.
As a certified public relations consultant, Ramer joins 120 other members of the Florida Public Relations Association. The CPRC Proof of Entitlement recognizes more experienced professionals and provides a way to demonstrate their ability to advise clients in any type of industry and situation.
The examination process for obtaining the CPRC Certificate is rigorously designed to ensure that consultants can handle a variety of PR practices while demonstrating the highest level of ethics and processes.

Laura McCann was recently elected executive director of the Animal Rescue Coalition of Sarasota, a nonprofit that aims to end the killing of adoptable dogs and cats in Sarasota and Manatee counties.
McCann has over 30 years of legal and leadership experience in the military, corporate, and nonprofit sectors.
In her new role, she will direct, support and direct the organization’s mission, ensure the financial health of the nonprofit, oversee resources and day-to-day operations, and fulfill ARC’s mission through programming, strategic planning and public relations.
Most recently, McCann was the founder and president of Philanthropy Partners, a firm that provides professional advice to nonprofits, corporations and foundations. She helped advance the mission of nonprofits by assisting experts in complying with state and federal laws regarding education, governance, and tax reporting, and identifying funding opportunities.
In that role, McCann raised more than $ 1 million in federal grants and private donations for clients.
She was previously Vice President of the United Way of Greater Chattanooga.
She is a veteran of the US Navy Advocate General Corps, where she was selected as the first regional attorney for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
McCann’s career has also included a position as a process manager with General Electric Co. and roles as a compliance officer and management consultant in the insurance industry.
She received her Juris Doctorate from the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts and a BA in Management from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts.

First Horizon Bank and IberiaBank have named the market leader in the banking industry Marty Lanahan as regional president for the North, Central and Southwest Florida regions.
In her new role for the combined company, she will lead a team of banking professionals and oversee business development in several of Florida’s largest markets, including Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Fort Myers and Naples.

Lerman has more than 25 years of experience in non-profit management. He has a long history of stabilizing and growing nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
He has extensive experience providing senior services and support to people with intellectual disabilities. He has more than 20 years of executive director experience and has worked for a national management consultancy that assists states with their long-term care and behavioral health programs.
In addition, Lerman was elected to the Maine House of Representatives, where he served two terms.
Since moving to the Sarasota area in 2007, Lerman has served as the Executive Director of iTNSuncoast, an organization providing transportation services to seniors and non-driving people, and Interim Executive Director of We Care Manatee, a nonprofit that provides access to medical care offers services to people without health insurance.
