Manchester administrators approve a finances with no tax hike

May 14 – MANCHESTER – The Board of Directors approved a budget for 2021-22 on Thursday evening that will keep the tax rate constant for the second year in a row.

In an 8: 1 vote, the board approved a budget of around $ 198 million for the next fiscal year. Director Brian Marois was the only vote against the budget.

The budget provides for a tax rate of EUR 36.52 million, which corresponds to the current operating budget. Previously, an increase in the milling rate of 1.23% to 36.97 mills was to be expected. The lack of tax hikes is partly due to new funding through the US bailout plan passed in Congress earlier this year.
