Man running with ‘Trump 2024’ flag tackled at Central Park ice rink

A man was attacked by another skater on Feb.21 on the Wollman Rink in Central Park after walking on the ice with the Trump 2024 flag. The video from the scene shows the man wearing a Make America Great Again hat and the hat preparing the flag on the side of the ice rink that is managed by the Trump Organization. Then he walks on the ice and provokes angry reactions from some skaters before finally being tackled on the ice with some cheering people on the last day of skating on the Wollman rink. According to local reports, the city had canceled the Trump contracts for operation and another ice rink. However, Bill Neidhardt, press secretary for Mayor Bill de Blasio, was later quoted as saying that the rinks would remain open until the end of the season. Neidhardt’s statement went on: “Make no mistake, we will not do business with the Trump organization in the future. Inciting a rebellion will never be forgotten or forgiven. “Eric Trump tweeted to thank de Blasio for choosing to keep the rinks open. “You have just made countless families in New York (along with our 250 employees) incredibly happy. This is a bright moment for New York and please know we cherish it, ”he wrote. Image Credit: Anonymous via Storyful
